This blogger has stressed time and time again the importance of safe teen driving and awareness by those who operate trucks on the road. Unfortunately, crashes keep on happening. Case in point, a crash last night in Arvada between a car and a refrigerated delivery truck killed two high school students and injured two others.

Arvada police found that a Mercury Sable was headed westbound on 62nd Avenue just after midnight when it went through a stop sign and was broadsided by the delivery truck. A 17 year old girl died at the scene. A second 17 year old girl, along with two seventeen year old boys, were taken to St. Anthony Central Hospital where the she later died. The driver of the truck, a 41 year old man, was taken to Lutheran Medical Center with minor injuries. It is not believed that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash at this time.
