Kendall Atkinson died from Fanconi Anemia, a disease that led to bone marrow failure, on March 14, 2004 at the age of 20. In memory of their sister, Allison and Whitney launched "Kaps for Kendall." The goal is to raise money to fight the disease that took the life of their sister and to provide special hats for kids and adults who have lost their hair from chemotherapy and radiation. Many wonderful people have volunteered to make the hats and to sponsor a hat(s) that has been donated by making a tax deductible $25 donation to the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund.

The law firm of Burg Simpson has been knitting furiously and has completed 101 hats for Kaps for Kendall. They will feature an article about the project in "The Docket" and "The Colorado Lawyer." A big thank you to this generous and multi-talented group! And thanks to the Knitty Cat for help with the project
