The young lady who lost her leg in a horrible accident involving a limousine settles her suit.

Molly Bloom's family announced today that they had reached a settlement with the limo company, driver, health insurers and others who played a role in the horrible accident which took her leg on prom night last year.

That evening, on May 13, 2006, Miss Bloom was boarding a stretch Hummer limousine when the driver pulled away, dragging Bloom under the rear tire for 38 feet before stopping. Miss Bloom lost her leg in the incident. Courtesy of the Denver Post, her attorney, Steven Wahlberg stated: "'It was a horrible traumatic event for all of the high school students and nobody wanted to drag them through a trial. Molly is ready to move on to the next chapter in her life.'"

Miss Bloom intends to attend the CU at Boulder this fall and to establish her own foundation to help support disabled athletes. Bachus & Schanker wished Miss Bloom and her family the best and commends Mr. Wahlberg for his hard work and dedication in helping those injured by the careless and reckless acts of others.

Good work!
